Video website YouTube has come under criticism from an army of its loyal visitors, after introducing a Spell Check mechanism for its comments system. "This is deffo bad. U cant rite anyfin rong now. Is well whack.' wrote user KingHomey13 on his blog.
The system checks all submitted comments for grammar, punctuation and spelling and if it fails to meet a given threshold of correctness, the comment is rejected.
'Some donk wuz sayin that fiddy cent was a poosy and i tries to write a comment bout his moma but all I gets is an emale telling me to rite proper. I did rite it proper. Is well whack.' continued KingHomey.
A spokesman for YouTube said 'We are trying to create a platform for intelligent debate and creativity. It is difficult for new artists to break through when they are faced with a barrage of comments that don't even seem to be written in English. Is well whack.'
The new system has turned YouTube into something of a lawless frontier with users posting videos without a second thought to the opinions of 14 year old, illiterate experts. Is well whack.
