A friendly meteorite.

Mount Rufus, Baja California (IP) - A stray meteorite from the Aurigid meteor shower created a new lake in Baja California. The meteorite was completely vaporized upon impact and did not destroy any human or animal life.

It was considered to be a friendly meteorite.

The clear waters of the lake it created quickly filled with large edible game fish. Trees broken up by the impact fell back to earth in an orderly fashion and created thousands of beautifully made log cabins. Gentle mudslides stayed on a strict path and brought trees with it and other shrubbery which landscaped the newly created log cabin community with such perfection that it left Mexican landscape architects stunned.

Boulders and other rocks were gently deposited outside the log cabins in such away as to leave fire rings for future occupants to enjoy and rock sculptures that would make an artist blush.

Unfortunately everyone that once lived in Mexico has migrated north to the United States and there is no one left to enjoy the splendor of the natural new community left behind by the friendly Aurigid meteor that splashed down here last night.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
