Fortnite, released on July 25, 2017, has become a gaming sensation throughout the teen population. Parents are concerned of health issues coming into their children’s lives from playing their games all day into night.

This survival game developed and published by Epic Games was put into Microsoft Windows, Play Station 4, X-Box One, and macOS consoles.

These teens in high school and college play the game instead of doing their homework, determining how they may do in the future. This game is leading to sleeping problems in students lives.

In February 2018, the developer reported there were 3.4 million players that were playing this highly addictive game.

“This violent game is worrying parents,” said 27 News from Whitefish, Montana.

A parent in Whitefish has multiple harsh complaints for the developer with health concerns for her two sons.

“My two sons need to get an school education. Not an education in how to kill and raiding someone’s possessions,” said Francine White. Francine cannot get over her sons asking her day and night for in-game purchases that she can’t pay for.

Francine told 27 News that Fortnite is leading to health concerns with her two children. She sent them to the hospital where they were diagnosed with dehydration, cancer, and kidney disease. The two boys did not drink water for hours, and drank pop and smoothies instead. This lead to their dehydration problem.

“Because they were at the computer all day and night, the radiation from the electronics slowly gave Adrian, one of the boys, cancer,” said Dr. Sloane, cancer expert. Trevor, the second son, got kidney disease from his awful case of diabetes. These doctors made a new condition called microbialgra syndrome, also known as Fortnite syndrome.

Ever since kids have been coming left and right to the hospital, doctors have been pressing the government to close Fortnite down. Doctors suggest taking away their “precious” games so they don’t get Fortnite syndrome, or other terrible diseases.

After a couple of months 4,579 cases have been reported from the hospital, caused by Fortnite.

The government has come to attention and issued a demand to either shut down the game, or use specific gaming hours. In the end the government decided to shut down the game on December 15, 2018 to help students health.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
