HOUSTON - The National Aeronautics and Space Administration has just made an amazing announcement.
According to Trent Timmelfarb, NASA spokesperson, the national space agency wants to hire Tonight Show host Jay Leno to be its public relations director.
Leno's tenure at NBC's Tonight Show will be up on February 17, and NASA has said that he can start on February 18.
Timmelfarb told the news agencies that all of the top executives at NASA truly feel that Leno can inject a sense of joy into the space program and thus help to get more people on the NASA bandwagon.
SIDENOTE: NASA has spoken to Jay Leno about the offer and they were told that he will certainly consider their wonderful offer along with offers from CNN, FOX, USA Today, and Telemundo.
