The nightmare of Trump’s dubious presidency and the coronavirus may end in November. Both his presidency and the virus appear to be equally destructive. But as Queen Elizabeth predicted, “Better days will return.”
While the Queen was not directing her words at Donald Trump, or suggesting that his presidency sucks, the shoe however still fits.
Dr. Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, warned that the world may never be the same after coronavirus. Freedoms of before will be gone. Handshaking may be a thing of the past. The same for air-kissing, and just as well. It's so pretentious. And don’t you ever sneeze again!
Trick or Treats will probably vanish in 2020 as it did after 9/11, but Halloween finally returned with the vengeance of a scorned witch. And how many coronavirus costumes will kids eventually select?
Smallpox once threatened the world population, but back in 1796 a vaccine was developed, and today everyone receives a smallpox vaccination. Life went back to normal after smallpox.
When smallpox kicked its head up again in the ’60s, with 2 million dying each year and 15 million infected, the challenge of smallpox again was met and defeated.
Not to further add to Dr. Fauci's grief, (who is daily bullied by Trump) after a vaccine is discovered for coronavirus, the world will go back to where it once was, because, as the Queen already pronounced, “Better days will return.”
Doubled-parked delivery trucks never looked so good. They’re delivering the goodies. Firemen and policemen were once considered frontline domestic heroes. Delivery truck drivers have now joined their elite ranks.
And has there ever been a better sight than a Grubhub car slowly pulling up, with a ready prepared meal from a restaurant? A kiss is out of the question. That's a no, no. But a tip? Add 20%!
So coronavirus is a killer that can make you very ill, or miraculously skip you altogether. Science will eventually find a vaccine.
To paraphrase Queen Elizabeth, Halloween, like better days, will return.
Starting with the election day of November 3, 2020!
