Day 1 sees five matches get under way - including defending champion John Higgins against Liang Wenbo from China. He's come a long way! Looks like he's not come on his own though as his fellow countryman Cao Yupeng plays Mark Allen from Northern Ireland.
Not travelling so far are Englishmen David Gilbert and Martin Gould, who face each other, and Stuart Bingham who faces another scot Stephen Hendry.
