The second report by a 2012 A.D. archaeologist as he excavates Scotland.

"Following my first excursion into the north west of the landmass, I travelled for approximately 60 miles in an Easterly direction to a much smaller site than previously. Located on the periphery of a small, but well-to-do urban establishment, this compact structure was relatively well preserved . In fact, the evidence would suggest that many of the seating devices were very rarely used as a large number of the latter were discovered in almost perfect condition. Some of the seatings that had been worn down by body friction also seemed to have attached to them scraps of sheets of worsted cloth with stripes of different colours crossing at right angles.

I also unearthed a number of flat cloth type headgear that seemed to be popular with the male of the species.

Near to the seating area were remnants of what appeared to be vacuum bottles lined with polystyrene insulating material which , if memory serves, were utilised by the civilisation of the day to keep drinking liquids at a reasonably hot temperature. I also found infinitessimal pieces of a foodstuff made from baked meal, dough and water that also contained traces of a fruit preserve.

Moreover, the favoured mode of transport for this race was a powerful, motor driven vehicle with large, heavy treads that was only capable of travelling at a slow pace - this was the only type of mechanical device I found any evidence of in the hilly area leading down to the theatre of sport.

Overall, the impression I gained was of a well ordered civilisation but somewhat lacking in passion for the sport that took place in this location".

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
