America is finally getting something right. Indict the bastards before they're elected and save the taxpayers some money. In the case of Democratic candidate, Alvin Greene from South Carolina, the taxpayers have been spared by not having to sit through a Senate Investigative Committee hearing to figure out if he should or should not be kicked out of office for breaking the law. Reason being, he hasn't been elected--yet.

Greene was arrested in November for attempting to show pornographic internet content to a college student. A felony indictment on those charges was handed down by a South Carolina grand jury along with an additional misdemeanor charge of communicating obscene materials to a person without consent.

Ok, in my America, this guy's name would immediately be pulled from the slate and like it or not, the Republican running against him, Jim DeMint would get the seat by forfeit. So far, this election year has been the craziest I've ever seen in my life. The folks who are screaming the loudest about their rights are the very ones who are trying to trample the rights of others. Guns are showing up in campaign ads and name-calling on both sides has reached a fevered pitch.

It doesn't matter anymore who becomes our representatives in Washington because no one hears the voice of the little guy anymore. Corporate America has won and they are having a grand old time making a mockery of our electoral process. Alvin Greene more than likely won't become the next Senator from South Carolina but not because he's an alleged felon, but because someone else with more money and more power will put their candidate into the seat and there isn't a damned thing any of us can do about it.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
