The second and newest Pound Shop, located at 134 King Street in Newby, celebrated its opening with an official ribbon cutting ceremony on July 5th. The full service Pound Shop is ideally located in Newby with ample parking and a storefront directly across from the other Pound Shop in Newby.

The Pound Shop's partners, Miguelle Jesus and Krazy Hernshaw were on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony as were the Mayor and Mrs. Millicent Molly Mayhew (65) a customer.

Jesus and Hernshaw announced how excited they were to be a part of the Newby business community, saying the company is extremely happy with the new store and believes the public will be as well.

"Newby has been planning a second Pound Shop for some time now and I am pleased to make this store opening my very first project", explained Jesus.

Hernshaw added, "We both believe in making a difference and we do believe that dedicated team off retail professionsals will be welcomed by the residents of Newby.

Jesus did a fabulous job of spearheading this project and w look forward to many years serving this community.

A variety of services, such as free Medical Checks, free blood glucose meter demonstrations and compliance packaging will be available at the new Pound Shop, as they are at all Pound Shops.

The Pound Shop is offering a BOGOF (buy one get one free) on selected items, throughout the first month following the opening.
