I kid you not, no Spoof. This is the bloody truth so it may NOT be published, I'll leave that up to Admin.
Friday, we turned the lights off at my place of work, for an hour, from 9.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. My place of work being a school, therefore we couldn't do it on the 'Set day' which was Saturday.
We explained to our students why we were doing this. Most of them couldn't give a damn and just thought it'd be fun to be in the dark. Sadly, most of them ARE in the dark
on a daily basis.
I set off down the hallway from my classroom, to go to the Computer Lab. On the way I passed some windows and glanced at the sunshine, blinding myself in the process, then continued on my way down the dark hallway.
An older student was bent down retrieving text books from her 'low' locker. She was dressed in black.
Luckily she 'moved' as I came within an inch of her, and I spied the movement out of the corner of my eye, swerved quickly and avoided going 'arse over tea-kettle' over her body and landing on the 'hard' flooring'
Bugger carbon footprints I say. I could have been very badly injured, or worse.
