I, ET McCrone, candidate for Prezminister of the USUK has recently been caught in a moment of miremembrance and thus misspeakin'.
It is verifiably true that I have operated lifts throughout the British Isles and even amid the skyscraping canyon walls of New York City. It is this kind of leadership ability that makes me believe that I can lift and elevate these two once great empires back to their days of glory and beyond.
Of late my critics and they are legion (and that is not even counting the countless therapists to whom I have been referred)have noticed that my claim to have been a liftevator operator in Tucson, Arizona may be a bit of an exaggeration. You see apparently there are not any building in Tucson tall enough to require an elevator. I could swear that I did practive my levitating art and science there in the baked apple but I will not stubbornly cling to this recollection. Certainly it is not the same as sitting in a pew week after week and not noticing outlandish and unAmerican truths being told or insisting upon crawling across a bombed out tarmac with a hail of bullets sweeping above one's head or for that matter misremembering that you were the youngest signer of the Declaration of Independence.
