We have very perverted ideas about what's "good" and what's "evil" in this country.
I recall when I was 14 my parents took me and my sister to a Dirty Harry movie. My mother called the theater beforehand to find out why the film had an "R" rating (for those of you from liberated countries, that means no one under 17 can see it without a parent). She was assured by the theater that it was because of the violence.
"Just violence?" my mom inquired. "Oh, OK!"
Violence was OK for us kids to watch. It's NUDITY that's harmful! They both sat stoically through the bloodshed, shootings and bombings, but you should have seen the look on my mom's face when a nude Asian woman tried to seduce Harry! "She turned to my father and whispered in his ear. I'm sure she was saying "we shouldn't have brought the kids to this!"
I look forward to the day when parents can say, "Just sex? Oh, OK!"
