Our friend Sheryl Crow has recently come back for an interview with our interviewer, Jay McCormack. This time we've asked her a few personal questions, but also things about career, family, and even what she thinks of The Spoof and such. Here is how it went:
The Spoof Interviewer Jay McCormack: "Welcome back, Sheryl Crow. So you're all ready to do this interview?"
Sheryl Crow: "Yes I am."
JM: "Now, you understand, this stuff will be posted on our website at some near future date."
SC: "Yes I do."
JM: "Okay then, lets get started, so how did you feel the first time you came in here for an interview? Nervous? Excited?"
SC: "Nervous, but I was a little mad that day, if you can't remember it was about the nasty Clay Aiken thing. Ughh!! I'm still recovering from that!!"
JM: "So, anyway, how are things going with your boyfriend?"
SC: "Lance? Oh, things are great. He's in second in the Tour de France right now. I'm still hoping he'll get in first though."
JM: "I'm sure of that. Well, anyway, tell me a little bit about your family."
SC: "Which??"
JM: "Whichever one you do."
SC: Well, we'll start with my first. I'm sure you know I was born in Kennett, Missouri and grew up with my Dad and Grandma. I have 2 biological sisters, Kathy and Karen, and a brother named Steven.
JM: "Yes, and what about your other family??"
SC: "I promised to keep them anonymous."
JM: "Okay, but may I ask you this, why did your adopted family have to move to Los Angeles after adopting you??"
SC: "That's where I live, and they wanted to be closer to me, at the same time as me living in my own place."
JM: "Nice, and just for the record, how old are you??"
SC: "I am 42 at the moment."
JM: "And you were adopted this year??"
SC: "Sure, why not?"
JM: "How did you write your debut single?"
SC: "All I Wanna Do?? That was written from a 'sort of' experience I had when I was 18 years old. I was out eating at this restaurant and this really odd looking guy was throwing his drinks around. It was so funny."
JM: "If you could pick anyone in the world for you to be their role model, who would it be?"
SC: "Either my adopted sister or Simon Cowell.
JM: "So, I understand you have had some bad experiences in life. How did you take them??
SC: "Well, pretty good. With my exboyfriend it wasn't so pleasant, but the others were okay."
JM: "Who is your favorite artist of all time??"
SC: "In truth, me!!"
JM: "Well, that's reasonable. Oh goodness, that's all the time we have. Thank you for being a part of this, Sheryl. You are one of the best singers around.
SC: "Thank you. It was my pleasure. I love doing these interviews. I've read a few. Goodness, what is with that Dorry McGuire? She exaggerates everything I've said to you!!
JM: "I don't know, she's only a writer, we do the interviewing. Well, it was a pleasure. Come back soon, Sheryl!!"
