Lady Gaga is up for three nominations at the MOHO awards (Music of Homosexual Origin), including Gayest Song and Gayest Person. Other notable nominations include Gayest Gay for Elton John, and a lifetime achievement award for Katy Perry.
The MOHO awards were set up to promote homosexual music, which includes such diverse genres as Europop, pop, disco and Eurodisco. Other types of music are also included if the musicians are gay enough. Critics say that it is ridiculous to divide music into categories based on the sexuality of its writers, but they are probably just homophobic.
The MOHO awards will be handed out in a back alley in Soho next month.
