There is so much un-used space at Whitehall HQ that Eric Pickles has come up with a marvellous idea to rent the space to be used as a huge food hall.
Apparently, he plans to rent some of the space himself and set up a new business, to be named Pickles Produce, selling only fresh vegetables and fruit grown in England.
He is not exactly a 'poster boy' for fresh produce as he IS a tad overweight and a close friend said he would be better off opening a bakery as he could then be one of his own best customers.
Another close friend said that Eric may find himself in a bit of a pickle himself if he does go ahead with his idea of selling fresh produce. There is a drought in England, threatening farmers crops.
