Self-deprecating Miranda Hart is to become the biggest cult comedy show after Gavin and Stacey. The self-effacing female comic creates comic situations gently making fun of situations at her own expense.
It is the case with a lot of classic comedy shows such as "Fawlty Towers" that less is definitely more. The shy, modest comedienne is said to be worried about over-exposure and does not want to compromise the integrity of her work and believes that quality of the material should always come before quantity.
She was shocked to be compared to Little Briton with its infuriating ubiquitous one liners which every one knows by heart. Executives have asked for a 'dumbing down' of her work; but Miranda has refused to churn out banal and mediocre work and has said that she will not be making another series.
Miranda has decided to join her friend Martha Carney on 'Womans Hour' and co-host the show with her. The comedienne is said to have been shocked by friend Martha's 'sad' divorce from Adrian Chiles. Her loyalty towards her friend has been sorely tested when she has attended celebrity bashes where Christine Bleakley has been present; she has frozen the Irish girl out and refused to speak to her.
