Ricky Gervais is receiving thousands of emails, twitters, letters etc.,from fans begging him NOT to turn down the invitation to host the next Golden Globes.
"He's the only reason I watch the Golden Globes," commented Spoof Writer Lady Godiva when interviewed.
"I wish we had seen and heard more of HIM rather than the lengthy speeches from the so called 'stars, thanking everyone from their agent to their cleaning ladies. That is so boooorrrrrring.
He says he may not accept because he doesn't know what he could do better. He must realize that he doesn't HAVE to do anything better. Just be yourself Ricky - that's why we love you so much."
These sentiments are echoed by many of Ricky's fans around the world.
Here's hoping he accepts or viewership will be down for next year's Gold Globe Awards.
