After several tabloids told the public that rock & roll legend Elvis Presley hated the Beatles John Lennon because of Lennon's anti-war, pacifist views, our reporters have discovered that Elvis wasn't exactly fond of actor Warren Beatty either.
Elvis couldn't stand Warren Beatty according to the son of a member of Elvis' long-time back-up group, the Jordanaires.
"Dad spent a lot of time with Elvis and told me he, Elvis, didn't even want you to mention 'Warren Beatty' around him. Elvis referred to Beatty as 'Pretty Boy' and he used a parrot-like voice to say it", stated Owen Sanders. "Dad said that it became a joke. Someone would tell an Elvis fan that Elvis loved Warren Beatty and the poor fan would mention that when she met the king and soon they would hear a 'parrot' quoting "PRETTY BOY! PRETTY BOY!".
Asked why Elvis disliked Beatty so much, Sanders stated that his dad never did say, but would just shake his head and laugh.
"Personally, I think it was because Elvis considered Beatty a rival for the girls and while Elvis was working hard on the road and spending two years in the army, Beatty was spending most of his time with the ladies."
A friend of Sanders also told us that he had overheard Sander's dad telling Jerry Lee Lewis, whom Elvis liked, that Beatty couldn't act. That "Bonnie and Clyde" was a horrible movie because "Beatty ruined it!"
"Elvis thought that he was a better actor than Beatty and would have played Clyde as a blues singer turned outlaw and would have SUNG "Foggy Mountain Breakdown".
