"He sure hasn't been himself", stated one guy who has been a sort of unofficial bodyguard since Pattinson was almost ran over by a taxi in New york about a year ago.
"He perked up when the Eclipse Movie thing was going on but he kept looking at Ashley Greene. Something is not right there."
Apparently, Friday afternoon everything was brought out into the open.
Instead of allowing Kristen to hear all about it from Ashley Greene herself, Pattinson apparently told Stewart what had happened between him and Ashley a couple of weeks ago.
Kristen came out red-eyed but she wouldn't say anything. She told us things were the same between her and Pattinson. That nothing had changed, even though someone tried their best to 'ruin it'.
Pattinson, when asked by reporters refused to comment.
"This is between Kristen and myself."
"No comment? It will grow in magnitude if you say nothing", stated one reporter.
"I will only say that my hormones overruled both my brain and my heart."
