An upcoming episode of Kate Plus Eight, has Kate Gosselin talking to a rough and ready Marine drill sergeant who runs a high-octane, no-nonsense summer "boot" camp program for children called Kiddie Boot Camp. This is one show you don't want to miss.
The kids are made to go through some really tough maneuvers such as crawling on their bellies under barbed-wire fences, swinging from a rope into the middle of a pond and having to swim back to shore unassisted, and fording a river on a makeshift rope bridge. Their meals consist of the fish they catch and beanie weenies. There is the occasional popsicle while sitting around a roaring bonfire and listening to various Marine war stories. The little Gosselins are all wearing cute little matching camouflage outfits for the show.
Meanwhile, in the same episode, Kate takes keen advantage of the time off from the kids to get her weave re-woven, her nails done and even takes a quick trip back to Los Angeles to do some power lunching with producers of the show.
On the show, Kate is asked if she thought sending the kids to this type of camp wasn't a little harsh, Kate said "No, they need to know that nothing is free in this life. You have to work for it. I saw the camp program and it looked like a hoot. I'm sure they're having the time of their lives."
The show is set to air later this month but comes with a warning. This may be one of the most realistic of all the Kate Plus Eight shows, so keep plenty of tissues on hand because the scene where Kate takes the kids to the bus to go to camp is a real tear jerker. There won't be a dry eye in your living room when little Aaden, hugging his teddy bear, begs "Please mommy, don't make us go. We'll be good, we promise. Please, please" as Kate kisses the kids one by one and shoves them onto the bus.
