Zoo officials were called to the concert hall in the U.K. where Whitney Houston was performing a concert last night. It's the first concert she's performed in the U.K. in 11 years.
Someone had dialled 999 when they were passing the concert hall and heard strange noises coming from inside. Fearing that an animal was being tortured, two zoo officials and two vets headed to the concert hall, sirens blaring, lights flashing.
When they arrived they were shocked to hear that their services were not, in fact, needed. Whitney was having a 'bad night' and was croaking her way through her songs, much to the dismay of her audience. Many demanded their money back.
Some said it was the worst concert they had ever been to.
Whitney tried to joke with them, but she is no David Letterman.
"My cat sings better than that!", commented one angry audience member as he left the concert hall.
"WE should have been paid to listen to it," remarked another.
A third remarked, "I taped the first few songs and intend to use the tape for a car alarm. It's enough to frighten away any 'would be' thief."
Miss Houston could not be reached for comment.
