"This is the second biggest heartache of my life, after losing on Britain's Got Talent", she told reporters outside.
Although winning several ribbons for best performance by singing "How Much Is That Doggy In The Window", edging out a bloodhound's baleful rendition of blues artist Howlin' Wolf's "Ohhhh My Bone", Susan still did not have enough points.
For one thing, she finished dead last by wearing non-dog apparel, disqualifying her in that event (best in show) and giving her no points.
Meanwhile two intruders from PETA stormed the room holding up signs that read "Breeders Kill Sheltered Dog's Chances" and "Susan Boyle Is Not A Dog!"
"That sign held up was the last straw", stated Boyle. "I left in a huff with my second place trophy, stopping only to urinate on that second lady."
