A family of African pygmies, the Inuses, have adopted singer Amy Winehouse after finding her wandering about the forest and eating mushrooms.
"Those mushrooms are dangerous", stated Jean Inus father of the family. "They make you see things and you try to fly from trees in the forest here", he told this UP2 reporter, Friday, and his interpreter.
He stated that the poor lady was zonked out and that he and his family have chosen to adopt her as she would have been made sport of by monkeys, had they found her first.
Meanwhile, Jean's son Inok came shyly over and told us that the lady motioned that she was afraid and wanted to know if they could keep her. "I found her", he stated.
Meanwhile, Winehouse had looked up and asked us, "Where am I?"
"You're in the forest where this family found you and protected you."
"That's more than anyone else has ever done."
"They want you to stay and be a member of their family, to adopt you."
"Wow! That is terrific!"
"You think it would be terrific if they adopted you?'
"I was talking about those mushrooms over there under those trees. Wow! That's terrific."
Saying they would take care of her, we left Amy with her new family who had brought her some fried monkey to eat.
