Representatives of CBS are being quiet and coy about it but word out on the street is that Amy Winehouse will soon replace Katie Couric as anchor person on CBS Evening News.
Amy has lately admitted that she once met Walter Cronkite when she was younger. "Or was it Boris Karloff, I get those two mixed up."
"I think it was Walter Cronkite because he sounded just like that Grinch on the cartoon."
Amy broke down for half an hour and cried about what that Cronkite had done to the poor little innocent Cindy Who.
"I have to give up and leave the room at that point but I always come back for the finish because I know it turns out well and Walter Cronkite's heart gets really big."
Winehouse stated that if she cried over a cartoon, how much more feeling she could show when an earthquake hits or a Soonammee.
"That Couric shows no emotion at all. I'm not saying that I've been offered the job yet, but I can already see my portrait on the wall below that of former CBS news anchor, Boris Karloff!"
