When the news broke out that Simon would be leaving the show he made famous, American Idol, fans and critics alike wondered who could possibly replace Simon on his show. Well, after the 2010 season wraps up, American welcomes their newest "Idol" judge--Donald Trump.
The host of the hit reality show "The Apprentice" is no stranger to judging competitions. Many believe he'll fit right into the show along side Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi and Ellen DeGeneres.
As Simon finishes his last season on American Idol, he intends to make it a memorable experience. "For so long, I've been known as the 'bad guy' here on Idol. Well, I'm going to go out there and have fun this season." And Simon has shown that he plans to make this season the best yet.
The 2011 season of American Idol will be a new chapter in the show's history. The traditional format will return, but their most famous judge will not. One can only assume we'll be hearing at least three "Yes's" and one "You're Fired".
