Although no one is talking about it, there was a report this morning that after a little celebrating over the success of the Twilight New Moon movie, Rob Pattinson gave an offhand joke about Lautner and Taylor Swift that Lautner took offense to.
"He and Kristen have been on all kinds of movie covers and now that Taylor and I get on one, he has to make some silly remark", stated Lautner to UP2 in a radio interview on 'Here's Hollywood'.
In defense, Robinson stated that all he said was that the two on the cover of Spice Magazine looked Taylor-made for each other and another couple of jokes that may have not been in good taste but I thought Lautner and I were friends and could joke around. But Lautner got mad.
"OK, OK, I said something about "tailing her" "is she a fit" and "try her on for size", but it was all meant in fun."
A couple of other guys on the scene had to finally separate the two and Robinson seems to be sporting a lot more make-up than usual away from the stage.
"There's been a lot of calling back and forth between managers and reps and finally Kristen Stewart called Taylor Swift into the scene and it seems to have been straightened out", stated another member of the cast, Ashley Greene. "Pattinson has apologized to Lautner and he has told him he guessed he was a little too thin-skinned."
"After all", stated one rep, "Lautner is only 17."
