Saying that he guesses he's OK or will be soon, CNN's Larry King told reporters from his hospital bed that the last thing he expected during the interview with Amy Winehouse last night over some of her wildest adventures that she could remember, was for his suspenders to snap.
"There we were...I've shit the bed, can you guys come back later. This is embarrassing. I don't even think Amy Winehouse ever shit her bed or at least she hadn't got to that part...Ohhh that stinks. Come back later!"
Two hours later and after watching two heaving orderlies leave the room, the reporters returned.
"Let me start again. OK?"
"Like I was saying two hours ago, the last thing I was expecting last night was for my suspenders to blow, catapulting me out of my chair and into the first row of our TV audience."
"Ms. Winehouse had just finished the story about her and the crab attack on the Riviera and I had a big lie ready to top hers and SNAP! Wham! and I'm airborne."
"Wonder if the 101st would make me a honorary member?"
"So I landed in the first row and I don't have any idea how I got there and neither does this rather heavy lady. She first hits me with her purse and then she realizes she has THE Larry K... "
