It took a few weeks but Billy Ray Cyrus says that his daughter, Miley, was her own person and if she wanted to pole dance at the Teen Choice Awards, then he trusted her judgement.
"She's quite a girl, a handful", Billy Ray reportedly stated while squeezing a small rubber ball. "She reminds me of her Mom sometimes, she's so hardhea..I mean, she's her own person."
Still squeezing hard on the rubber ball, Billy Ray then picked up a second one.
"I always tell her to love what you're doing and stay focused for the love of the art and not worry so much about every one else's opinion," he stated.
Then after throwing both rubber balls at his agent who managed to duck them, Billy Ray continued.
"That Miley. You know what? I just think that she just loves entertaining people." By this time he was squeezing an old teddy bear to death.
"She loves singing and songwriting and...pole dancing."
As he ducked another red squeeze ball, then both of Billy Ray's bootss, Billy Ray's manager told him that the punching bag he had ordered was ready and he could go any time.
So he left.
