A 53-year-old man who has been charged with attempting to stalk Miley Cyrus is scheduled to head back to court on Tybee Island, where the teen superstar just finished shooting a movie on the Georgia coast.
Mark McLoud is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing Tuesday afternoon. He's being held at the Cheatham County jail on misdemeanor charges of attempted stalking, stalking, disorderly stalking and obstruction of a police officer while stalking.
Police say McLeod came to Tybee Island some 24 times looking for the 16-year-old Cyrus and tried to breach a security perimeter around the movie set in May, June and July. Police say McLoud told an officer he was secretly engaged to marry the "Hannah Montana" star since she was eleven.
"I first became aware of our pending marriage when my dog suddenly barked at the TV at the young Hannah. He did it five times -Mark, Mark, Mark, Mark, Mark! -he's hair-lipped -so I knew we would be married in five years which is now."
McLoud pleaded not guilty to the charge of stalking Miley Cyrus.
"It's Hannah Montana I'm looking to marry. All of you will be invited to the wedding. I'm memorizing your names as you question me."
