He has fought Gotham City's Criminal's and Mad Men,for the last 70 years. But today The Dark Knight has officially announced he is retiring from crime fighting.

Batman made the announcement on his official website, live from the Batcave.

"I'm getting old. I'm 89 years old now. And the Joker is STILL running around, causing trouble. I know I should of caught him before quitting, but I'm 89 and just can't be assed anymore".

With the tragic death of his ward Robin. The disappearance over tax evasion, for Nightwing. And what with Batgirl having her 10th child, Batman seemed pretty certain that Gotham is set for doom.

"Ever since Commissioner Gordon suffered from HIV, and all my allies in hiatus,I was sure I lost all hope. But then I saw something, and I knew that it was gonna change Gotham for the better. But Superman said that he was leaving Earth on vacation".

A special retirement party is being held at Buckingham Palace for the Caped Crusader, later in the week.

Royal Correspondent, Jimmy Bond, made the announcement on behalf of King Harry.

"Batman has done a lot for our society and we want to thank him by holding a very crappy party in his honour".

Its also being reported, that Clowns have been banned from the Palace on the event night,as Batman suspected that the Joker would try to steal the show.

"Doesn't he always?" Said a local tramp.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
