South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford has accepted the role of the narrator, Che in a new Buenos Aires production of Evita. Sanford though a conservative Christian from the American deep south claims that he has enough Latin American experience to pull off the role of the revolutionary Greek chorus.
Sanford told the Buenos Burlador that he has been sopending more time being pampered on the Pampas than he has bee slaving away in the slave state of South Carolina. Sandford claims that nothing could be finer than to be in Argentina in the matina. I've had my own Evita and soon hope to play Peron in a new improved dictatorship with my mujer by my side.
