Darts legend, 9 times SKOL world champion, Phil 'The Power' Taylor has shocked pop fans in Holland by winning through the arduous Pop Idol Competition.
"Admittedly, the Dutch competition isn't as difficult as the British one, but Holland is a big place, and the standard is still very high. I mean, look at all the great singers the Netherlands has produced like..."
Dutch nationals on the darts circuit are angry that they didn't even qualify for the competition.
"He's British. He had his own Pop Idol contest. Johnny foreigners like Phil pushed true orange nationals like me out!" claimed an angry Raymond Barneveld, himself a serial Embassy
Champion. However, Phil pleased his core fans by asserting that he will not give up the darts.
"Sure, it'll be hard balancing the two careers, but I'll find some way to keep my throwing arm in practice when I'm on tour and away from the oche. Masturbation may be the way to go here."
Simonn Van Couxell, panellist on the Dutch Pop Idol and closest darts fan, said of Phil "whether he has the darts or the mic in his hand, either way he simply oozes class. Wow!"
