Executives from the popular FOX network TV show "24" are planning a multi-million dollar tie-up with US outdoor clothing brand Eddie Bauer, according to sources.
Under the deal, the show's main character, Jack Bauer, played by Keifer Sutherland, will be changed to Eddie Bauer, and all characters, including terrorists, will be required to wear Eddie Bauer clothing.
Hank Weiss, 24's executive producer said, "I think this new partnership will give the show a new look, as well as give Keifer's character a softer, more human feel." Weiss explained that instead of the traditional all black wardrobe, Bauer would sport kakis, plaid shirts and sometime even carry a fishing rod or other outdoor sporting item.
He added, "Keifer, to be honest, is tired of running around all day fighting terrorists, so we are thinking of having some scenes of him playing golf, fishing or doing other leisure sports."
