Sydney, Aus - Russell Crowe has landed himself in hot water once again after being dragged from a local bar after a fight with a local pony.
Crowe was reportedly having a quiet drink with friends when the cream coloured Shetland Pony wandered in and grabbed the seat next to Crowe's wife. The male pony named Sharon The Shetland was owned by a local farmer and frequently frequented the bar on a frequent basis.
Crowe's wife Danielle took an instant shine to the furry little beast and began to pat, paw and tickle him.
Jealous Crowe went into an almighty rage and punched the poor pony in the jaw. The pony responded by kicking Crowe in the groin and the next thing you know the two were on the floor with hooves, tails and fur flying. A strange sound of whining and neighing was heard coming from Crowe, while the pony remained silent.
A barman broke the two up and promptly called police. Crowe was arrested and taken to the local police station where he was charged with Pony Provocation and Grievous Ponily Farm. The pony was given a lift home and told he was banned from the bar for one year.
Crowe will appear in court on June 1st. In the meantime, he has had a restraining order slapped on him, and is not allowed within 100 metres of any barnyard animal. Crowe's wife said she was relieved at the restraining order, claiming that Crowe was due a visit by his ex girlfriend, Meg Ryan, next week. "This restraining order will keep the cow well away!" she stated with a smirk.
