Recently beaten boxer Ricky Hatton has announced that he will be joining Manchester super group Oasis from June as their drummer, in time for a string of summer concerts.
The boxer who has spent a great deal of time learning how to drum over the last few years seems now set to quit the boxing world and move into the world of Rock and Roll.
The boxer has had a strong relationship with the Gallagher brothers, seeing them carry in his belts in the build up to one fight. Noel Gallagher had to be dragged out of the ring following the annoucement of the fighters though, as he was attempting to headbutt Paulie Malignaggi.
"its about f*cking time we had some more man city fans in this band if you f*cking ask me" commented Liam Gallagher. "But if he steps out of line, I'll f*cking put him on his ar*e, no bother".
