In a break from the traditional secrecy around the 28 year long marriage, Robyn Moore, the wife of Mel Gibson has discussed some of the reasons for her filing for divorce last week.
"Mel has always been an extremely dedicated actor, but in the last few years, obsessions with his roles have taken over our lives".
It appears that Lethal Weapon co-star Danny Glover has resided with the Gibsons for the last 12 months, with each of them adopting the roles of "Riggs and Murtaugh" in real life. The two have attended a number of actual crime scenes trying to offer advice and help to the LAPD. The police force recently took out an injunction preventing the two from coming within 100 yards of new crime scenes.
He has also constructed a 300 foot steel cage in the land around the family home, which he has referred to as "The Thunderdome". Tina Turner has been living in the cage for the last six months, being paid by Gibson to assume the role of "Autny Entity" during that time.
It also appears since his work directing the film "The Passion of the Christ", Gibson has insisted on wearing a simple robe and talking only in Aramaic each Sunday. It was his wife's fear for him potentially crucifying himself over the Easter weekend that was the final straw.
