Seen here only days before composing Fat Lady's Song!

A French musicians guild says Oscar-winning film composer Maurice Jarre has two-stepped to heaven, left on a down beat, composed the fat lady's song, Limboed underground, took the last waltz, joined Beethoven and Bach, waved his last wand, buggered off to boogyland, kicked up his heels and gave his final overture at the age of 84.

Jarre is best known for writing the haunting song "Lara's Theme" from the film "Doctor Zhivago."

He is probably least known for writing "Badly Hung Under" from Porky's II.

Friend Bernard Miyet cites Jarre's family Monday as saying the composer died in his California villa.

Jarre penned dozens of scores for some of Hollywood's most prominent directors and scored a few times with the Mrs, according to confidants.

He won Oscars for his music for "Doctor Zhivago," "Lawrence of Arabia," and "Passage to India," was nominated for an additional six Academy Awards, and won the coveted "Best Escargot Tomato Recipe" at the Faire de Paris.

Jarre was born in 1924 in Lyon, France, and studied music at the Conservatoire de Paris before starting his career composing scores for theatrical productions. He has lived in the U.S. for decades before performing to a captive audience, played the bucket-kicking rag, got out on the dance floor for the Horizontal Tango, led the deadbanger's ball, concluded with Taps, inspired a new hymn, composed Determination Station......."
