Popular (citation needed) TV personality (citation needed) Des Ormond Connor aka Des O' Connor has finally pissed on the last ember of his sanity today whilst in a London eatery.
Startled onlookers could only stand agog as Des put down his slice of lemon cheesecake on the restaurant's floor, put a tiny suit on it, strapped a microphone on its lapel then proceeded to give it a fifteen minute interview in which he discussed the food's "upcoming projects" and "troubled past".
"At first I thought he was pissed up on gin", stated one startled onlooker, "but then I got closer and realised he had just flipped his lid."
The news will come as no surprise to many. As recently as the day before yesterday he did the same thing in Manchester, only using a spongecake. And only last month he stood accused of bigamy as the news leaked he had ran off with a batch of Yorkshire puddings and got married in Gretna Green.
This latest bit of wackyland behavior will sadden O'Connor fans (??) as he was due to make a TV comeback as the voice of Mute Benny, The invisible, very mute slug in the TV show Creature Comforts. The rest of us are just waiting for the next incident involving the senile ex-crooner and freshly baked pastries. I'm guessing eclairs!
