In a surprising announcement, Tom Hanks confirmed the recent rumours that he is to play Tom Cruise in a new film biopic about the famous actor.
"Tom has always been my acting hero", said Hanks, "this is a giant role for me and it is going be a real test. I just hope I can do him justice".
Tom Cruise is widely acclaimed as the greatest of the acting "Toms" with Tom Arnold and Hanks joining him to form the famous "Tom Trilogy" of Hollywood. (known is some circles when seen together, as the "Tom Pack")
The film will cover the entirety of Cruise's acting career from his discovery through to his recent role in "Valkyrie". The film is set to feature some of the most famous of Cruise's scenes and will see Hanks don the flight suit of "Top Gun" Maverick.
As part of re-enactment of some of the famous scenes, Val Kilmer has signed to play Brad Pitt's roles in An Interview with a Vampire. Furthermore, Brad Pitt has signed to play the role of Val Kilmer in the scenes from Top Gun.
Famous method actor Dustin Hoffman is rumoured to be considering the role of Suri Cruise in the film.
