Portly Jo Brand looky-likey, John Sergeant, has stunned TV Execs by sensationally quitting top rated show Dr Who. The portly Jo Brand looky-likey has fled the country and is believed to be in hiding at a small villa on the Costa Del Sol on Portugal's popular Algarve.
Show insider and one-time Minder stalwart, George Takei, was last night close to tears as he told a press posse:
"There ain't but one Sheriff in this here one hoss town and that's me. We're sure gonna miss him here on set. The old place just won't be the same"
And Who writer, Rustle T Bucket, was starting a nationwide search for a new "Who" and is believed to be holding open auditions at a secret location in that there London. He told TheSpoof.com:
"Sure John will be missed. He brought his own style to the character but no man is irreplaceable. I doubt if we'll be able to replace him but we'll have a bloomin, good try"
Mr Sergeant's agent, Theydon Bois, issued the following statement on behalf of his client:
"John has decided after much soul food to quit the roll and start with a ciabiatta instead. It is a much better match with fresh buffalo and henceforth he will always wash his hands in a bison"
BBC were remaining tight-lipped over the matter but some kind of indication is indicated in the coming days and weeks.
