There was a major controversy tonight on the BBC 1 show Strictly Come Dancing, when Len Goodman, the judges' leader, resigned and walked off after John Sergeant, the most terrible dancer in the world, survived the public vote yet again.
Goodman, on hearing that Sergeant had again progressed to the next round, threw his hands into the air and swore at the top of his voice. He then glared at Sergeant, rose from his seat and left the stage, walking straight out of the studio and onto a number 47 bus.
The bus drove briskly along to match the dancemaster's rage, and dropped Goodman off in central London where he went into a bar off Oxford Street, and quickly got blathered.
John Sergeant is one of Britain's most popular and respected broadcasters and authors, and is an award-winning political journalist.
Recent years have seen John become famous for his appearances on comedy shows such as Have I Got News For You, QI, and Room 101, and his dancing is certainly in the 'comedy' category.
His partner is the voluptuous Serbian-born Kristina Rihanoff, who also said even she believed Sergeant should have been voted off.
Fellow judge, Bruno Tonioli, was able to contact Mr Goodman by telephone later, and said:
"He is very pissed and very pissed off."
Show host, Bruce Forsyth, later denied that John and Kristina were his 'favourites'.
