When an Afro-Briton rocker lay bleeding and prone backstage at the Spanish music festival, witnesses and worshippers of Sex Pistol Johnny Rotten bragged that the punk rock outlaw and his entourage visited a racist rampage on the poor black bloke.
The Liverpool born son of Nigerian parents confirmed the braggadocio of the Sex Pistols partisans: "I just asked Mr. Rotten if he would ever consider reforming one of his infamous bands and before I knew it I was gettin my arse kicked for my" African attitude".
Johnny Rotten denied the whole affair: "I was a shinin' example of a good citizen at the Spanish music festival. I signed autographs, didn' use foul language and shagged only persons over the legal limit!"
When fans of the Sex Pistol Rotten heard his remarks they held a public burning of his PR photos, records and CD's. One tearful worshipper calling herself "Rotten's Apple" sobbed as she denounced Johnny as a "traitor" and a "Judas Iscarrottop": "I have adored Johnny Rotten me whole life and now the git goes out and turns holy Joe on me. Who can ya trussed in this werld if Johnny Rotten goes moral on ya?!"
