Channel 4 is working on a new hip-hop version of the popular numbers and letters game Countdown which will be called Word.
A spokesman for television company said "The new programme will be aimed at a younger audience who are more into hip-hop than horlicks".
TheSpoof was amongst the audience for the pilot of Word last night. The usual host Richard Whiteley had been replaced by Richard Blackwood and Dictionary Corner had become Word 'Hood.
The first letters game produced the highest scoring round in the history of the quiz. The first contestant asked for his letters "Yo, gimme one from the m****rf*****g bottom and one from the m****rf*****g top, bitch" and the only letters drawn were O and Y. Incredibly, both contestants claimed a 12 which turned out to be "Yoyoyoyoyoyo".
