Vanessa Hudgens, of nudy pic fame, will be stepping out of the Wildcat shadow. She will also be stepping away from Disney.
In an attempt to prove she is a serious actress, and is in fact growing up, Vanessa is filming a non-Disney movie called "Will". She will be playing a 15 year old, high school student who sings, named Sam.
"There is a big difference between Sam and Gabriella. Sam is popular, Gabriella wasn't. Not only that, but it is about a popular girl, an outcast boy, and a group of kids who form a band. Then they try to win the Battle of the Bands. Nothing like HSM 2 and some stupid talent show," explains Ms. Hudgens.
There is stiff opposition from the hardcore HSM fans who feel Vanessa is 'selling out'.
"Contrary (my mom told me to use that word) to popular belief, we aren't that mad at Vanessa, and we aren't worried at all. I mean everyone knows Troy and Sharpay are the reasons HSM was so successful. This movie is just a wanna be and will probably really really staaaank," claims tweeny bopper Minnie Evans. "Oh yeah Go Zashley! Zanessa sucks!"
Disney could not be reached for comment. There may also be an indepth look into who or what a Zashley and Zanessa are.
