Striking Writer Won't Sign Permission Slip

(New York) Striking WGA member Robert McKenna refused to sign a class trip permission slip, forcing his young daughter Helen to miss a trip to Radio City Music Hall to see the annual Christmas show.

"I feel bad that Helen had to miss out on a fun trip," McKenna stated as he walked a picket line outside NBC Studios in Manhattan. "But I cannot cross the picket lines. I can't betray my fellow writers for anything. I just hope the TV Networks realize they're hurting not just us, but our families as well."

McKenna was later overheard telling his fellow striking writers how his Mother is now in a shelter because he couldn't in good conscience write any more checks to pay for her nursing home.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
