LOS ANGELES, CA -- Michael Bay, director of big budget action films like "Transformers: the Movie," "Bad Boys" and "Pearl Harbor" has tentatively signed on to direct his biggest film yet.
"Three's Company: the Movie" is based on the popular television sitcom starring John Ritter that aired from 1977 to 1984. Bay says to expect a little tweaking of the story lines from the television.
In the movie, the main character, Jack Tripper, is a former Navy SEAL turned chef and restaurant owner. Janet and Chrissie, Jack's sexy roommates, are trained weapons and martial arts experts with looks that kill who are mercenaries using menial office jobs as the perfect cover for their deadly professions.
Hilarity ensues when Islamic terrorists riddle the Regal Beagle bar with over 300,000 bullets and Chinese commandos fill Jack's Bistro with enough C-4 explosives to level three blocks of downtown Santa Monica.
Bay promises that the movie "will be intense and really funny, especially because initially everyone thinks Jack is gay. And lots of shit will blow up, that I can guarantee."
Rumors are circulating that Will Smith will be cast as Jack Tripper. Joyce DeWitt will attempt to resurrect her career by playing Janet's estranged mother.
The movie is scheduled for release late next year.
