What about the Cardinal's swastika-emroidered leather underpants that once belonged to Hitler's Pope

Cologne, Germany - (Ass Meserschmitts): Cologne's primate Cardinal Joachim Meisner has said modern art, especialy gay artists' conceptual work, is a lot of tosh "that should be incinerated" along with the vast majority of non-Arian artists.

The archbishop told a packed congregation that the Nazis "had the right idea" when it came to dealing with "degenerate" art "especialy the kind that has made a lot of homosexuals very rich indeed.

"This conceptual art is the art of the arsehole," Meisner said today.

"And as we all know nothing good ever comes out of a man's arsehole.

"When art becomes gay modern art it becomes estranged from worship and culture," Meisner said today.

"Personally I blame David Hockney for most of the art world's troubles today."

Meisner's words echo the Nazi ethos about what they called "entartete Kunst" or degenerate art which resulted in the persecution of artists, the banning of paintings and the burning of books.

The 1937 Munich exhibition entitled Entartete Kunst was the Third Reich's seminal warning to the public about a "perverted homosexual culture of deception."

This week Cardinal Meisner's supporters have backed their man and said "too much gay tacky crap masquarades as artistic genius today."

Local sources say Meisner should come clean about some illicit 1930s and 40s Third Reich memorabilia that he wears under his cassock including a swastika-emroidered paid of leather underpants that once belonged to Hitler's Pope Pius XII.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
