Hollywood, California - (Blockbuster Mess): Indiana Jones movie actor Harrison Ford is reported to be in the running to play the leading role of Gnarly Erik in the forthcoming blockbuster movie Spoof! The Motion Picture.

Central casting confirmed today that neither Sean Connery nor Pierce Brosnan were thought to be up to scratch for this pivotal role which portrays an embattled Alaskan warrior fighting the hideous doorstep menace of the Corrupt Bastards Club in his hometown of Juneau.

The film's plot focuses heavily on the dastardly machinations of oil industry cover-up specialists VECO Corporation which threatens to bazooka Gnarly Erik's orifices by leaning on the US Navy to park a missile-bearing destoyer to harrass him into docility.

Ford says he has had a facelift and several gruelling hours of liposuction ahead of confidence in landing the role.

However some movie sources feel is more suited to Bruce Willis or Russell Crowe.

But while the competition hots up to land this prestigeous role the Spoof's Alaskan writer appears somewhat distanced from Central Casting's auditions and told reporters this week he has been "just too damned busy fighting these corrupt assholes in my own backyard" to notice whatever was going on in Hollywood right now.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
