Miami, Florida - In response to a comment by Pulitzer Prize winning columnist Brave Darry of the Miami Herald, Metallica has joined up with other metal bands to start a world literary workshop tour that kicks off this weekend.
"(Our) band plays music as well as Metallica writes novels," said Darry jokingly. His amateur band, The Rock Bottom Remainders, is made up some of America's most popular writers including Stephen King.
Metallica's lead singer retorted, "Well maybe we're no Brave Darry, but we spit hot fire with our haiku!"
Other bands on the forty-bookshop tour include: Einsturzende Neubauten, Spinal Tap, and Beatallica (a Beatles/Metallica tribute band).
