CCN (Crazy Cal News) - New York - Antonio Banderas jumped from a plane 100000 feet up because he was so happy over his "Shrek" role. Antonio is the voice for the Puss in Boots character in the animated film.
"I was so happy because it was not in a language my own," said Banderas. "The fact that I arrived in this country without knowing a word in English and that years later they call on me only for my voice makes me feel proud. Where else could an illegal immigrant like me obtain success like this?"
Banderas not only gets to talk for this new role, but he also gets to sing. He and Eddie Murphy, who does the voice for Donkey, recorded a version of the 1970s soul classic, "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Again)," by Sly & the Family Stone, which plays at the end of the film.
"I sure am glad they hadn't built that moat before I swam across. The piranhas they put in it would make it very difficult to swim," commented Banderas.
